All this advice makes me feel overwhelmed. I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?
Stuck and Not Yet Saving
I think most of us know exactly how you feel. It can be hard to get started. Here’s my process for energy savings:
Make a list of the savings opportunities that fit your home. For example, if you have an older furnace, then “upgrade furnace” should be on your list.
Next, mark every item on your list as Do Now, Do Later, or Never. Be honest: if you can’t see taking an action, label it Never.
Then get started! Do half the Do Now list this week and next week. Use the tools at WattzOn.com to keep track of your list and follow your savings.
The key is to get focused on only the things that you want to do. There are plenty of ways to save, so why not have fun?
